We Were Making Money But Losing Ourselves—Here’s What Shifted
We Were Making Money But Losing Ourselves—Here’s What Shifted
Let’s keep it real:
We were finally making money online…
But somehow, we were more disconnected than ever.
We had systems running, sales coming in, reels going viral—but at home?
We were tired. Touchy. Emotionally tapped out.
The truth? You can build a business and still feel broken.
That was us at one point.

And the wild part? From the outside, it looked like we were “winning.”
But behind the scenes, we were:
✔️ Snapping at each other between Zoom calls
✔️ Avoiding deep convos because we were “too busy”
✔️ Feeling like we were co-workers, not soulmates
Turns out, we hadn’t built a business with our values in mind—we built one that looked good on paper but didn’t feel good in real life.
Turns out, we hadn’t built a business with our values in mind—we built one that looked good on paper but didn’t feel good in real life.
The 3 Boundaries That Brought Us Back
1. We Stopped Glorifying Grind Mode
Just because we could work all day didn’t mean we should.
We stopped chasing every “opportunity” and started asking:
Does this align with the life we actually want?
Now: If it doesn’t honor our peace, our family, or our purpose—it’s a no.
2. We Created Protected “Us” Time (No Business Talk Allowed)
We had to stop letting the business sneak into every moment.
Now, we block off time for just us—no strategy sessions, no income updates, no brainstorming.
Just love. Just life. Just being Felicia and Domonique, not CEO and COO.
3. We Recommitted to Our Original “Why”
At the end of the day, we started this for freedom—for our family, our faith, and our future.
Not for followers. Not for flexes.
So now we check in weekly:
Are we still in alignment?
Are we actually enjoying this?
Are we still showing up together?
The Truth Is:
Success isn’t worth it if you lose your sanity or your spouse.
You don’t have to choose between money and marriage.
But you do have to choose alignment over ego, peace over pressure, and partnership over performance.
